This is the United States, there is a baseball field on what appears to be a high school. Large yard with engine terminal, next to a large river. Probably eastern half of the country. The yard name has 5 letters in it.

Dave,

To many hints! There just happens to be only ONE hump yard in the eastern half of U.S. that has 5 letters in its name.

Norfork Southern's yard in Enola, PA
