That light blue one looks like the Maersk-flavored SDP40F in the Brooklyn Yard in SE Portland... the other F-looking one looks like DLMX 274... could this be the BROOKLYN ROUNDHOUSE!

I think its cool that the image is good enough to tell what the locos are!

Yeah, I figured he would be the one to know it just by looking.:tb-smile:

I should have sat on my hands. My apologies. I just knew it once I saw those locos and my "ooh ooh, I know it" reflex took control.

I see that SDP40F in revenue service now and then on the PNWR. The last time I saw it was on the A-Line near Sauvie Island.

There's no mistaking that place, is there guys? We should have disqualified all Pacific Northwest dwellers from this one. It truly is a shrine to locomotive and railroad preservation. Fascinating place. :tb-biggrin:

I actually recognized the SDP40F in Maersk colors first.

Next time I am going to give hints when it is this easy for me. I jumped last night.

I've seen the 644 in service on PNWR's OE line running thru Salem, and got shots of it on the point of a southbound. One of the best-looking lease units out there.

On a related note, that "other" site has a set of photos by Chris Fussell showing Doyle and Richard "Durango" Hie installing the new bearings on 4449's No. 2 axle. She's down off the jacks with the new bearings installed, rods back on and raring to go for the Holiday Express specials to be run Dec. 7-8-9 and 14-15-16 on the Oregon Pacific, Oaks Park to OMSI and return. Bring the whole family and ride behind the 4449. Tickets are on sale at the ORHF site. :tb-biggrin:

Since I'm back home in Tejas, I won't be able to ride this year, but as a satisfied customer I agree- the 700 and 4449 are beautiful engines, and worth riding behind.
