I think NS repainted its last N&W and SOU engines 15 years ago. However, there is (or recently was) SOU power remaining elsewhere.

In this album (http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/showgallery.php?cat=1043), you'll find plenty of rolling stock lettered for both Southern and N&W, plus pics of GP59 4610, painted green & lettered for the Southern.

The North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer has many Southern pieces of rolling stock and locomotives in running shape. As a matter of fact we took a loco cab ride in the FP-7 #6133 a few months ago, it was a blast!
