I took this photo Saturday morning when 44E was heading north off the NS Asheville District, something caught my eye, and it was this old N&W coverd hopper . So I snapped a few pictures of it.

White Sulphur Springs & Yellowstone Park Railway in WSS, MT used to interchange with the Milwaukee Road at Ringling, MT. Although the line to WSS is severed at the depot, a MILW ballast hopper silently sits on the siding:

Here's CSX N907 heading to Holland MI on Sept. 30, 2007 - sorry for only being able to get a thumbnail image posted, but something in Railimages isn't working quite right (?).
So click on it to enlarge!

Yeah, Mike's shot is taking a runaway victory--a runaway of the caliber of a 1200-ton coal train on Rollins Pass' 4% grade!
Great job, Mike!:D

Thanks Hemi and you who voted! It was a pretty dreary day when the shot was taken. Seems to brighten the day being that it won the challenge. Good luck to all of you on the next one! I think there might be a few GE's running on the Moffat this weekend!!
