1. All challenges close at 12 midnight (24:00 hours) Eastern Standard Time on Monday 11th June 2007, and will be noted with a "Time's up!" post within the thread.
2. Please use the challenge as a motive to take a new photograph rather than using a photograph that you have taken in the past.
3. Challenges are open to everyone, have fun!!
4. Though not required, commenting on other peoples pictures is encouraged.
5. Only one image per participant so please choose the image carefully.
6. Any posts with images taken before the commencement of the challenge will be deleted.
7. For photos to be eligible they must be taken between the 9th and 11th of June 2007.
8. Ensure dates and times on your camera are correct.

I look forward to seeing many contributors, remember this is to encourage all modellers to take a shot of the subject rather than post a photo taken in the past.

Here is my entry a custom painted Demo SD45. This was painted by Dave Morse and was one of my first locomotives I purchased. It doesn't get run very often by I brought it out for this challenge

Nice shot of the F unit Russ, like it. Nicely weathered espee Flash. I also like the GE Demo Colonel, good stuff.

Here's some thing a little different. I opened the curtain a bit and turned out the light to snap UP 9440 heading around the wye early morning with the sun glinting on the glass.

If I have to use something that's new & never seen before,I'm limited to this engine. Its one of the last ones I'd done before I got too sick. I just happen to take its picture last week while up at the layout. Its a P-42,not a PL-42-AC. I did it as a fantasy scheme, little did I know........
NJT just acquired 4 P-42's from Slamtrak for the new NY-AC service.

I opened the curtain a bit and turned out the light to snap UP 9440 heading around the wye early morning with the sun glinting on the glass. With the prototype, low light situation can make for a dramatic shot. It is always fun to try to achieve that with a model. Looks like you were successful.

Southern Pacific 7344 SD40R headed to California with another long lumber drag.
Nothing says Southern Pacific quite like a consist of various unwashed six axle locomotives. Well done.

It's October 1950, and these brand new C&O F7s are hauling black diamonds through the New River Subdivision in West Virginia.
These began as Bachmann B&O F units. Paint by Polly Scale, decals by Microscale. 5 chime horns are from Sunrise Enterprises. Number boards were printed on my inkjet printer.
