On Sunday we were able to tour the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. This is the site of the old Southern Railroad Spencer Locomotive Shops. And we rode in the cab of the Southern #6133 EMD FP-7 for the 25 minute ride though the grounds. Here are a few photos:

Nice looking locomotive, Ryan, even if it is a "diseasel".

Looks like you're taking full advantage of your new surroundings. Actually, come to think of it, I suppose it's not so new anymore. You've been there about a year or so, right?

Regards

Ed

Ed,

Yes, we are finally getting to explore our new surroundings. And right again, we have been here for 16 months now. Funny how I measure the time here in months still, like a new born!

Cheers,

Ryan
