I just had to post here about the customer service from Factory Direct Trains. A few weeks ago I purchased a sound equipped N scale Precision Craft Models E7. I had only run this to test the system and to make some general observations about the operating voltage in the DC mode (which I posted in one of the N forums). Anyway the sound went dead, and I did some checking to be sure nothing had become disconnected. Then I called Precicision Craft's service department, and we discussed some options such as resetting the decoder on a DCC equipped layout. I tried the reset on someone's DCC layout, but no results. I decided to send this unit to Precision Craft Models to have them check it out. I decided to call Factory Direct Trains because I needed to order the Precision Craft DCMaster analog control module so that I can utilize the bell, horn, volume control - and do resets, if necessary. I explained that the E7 I had recently purchased had gone dead. Factory Direct Trains offered to send me another unit, free of charge plus a paid shipping label to send the old unit back. I accepted this offer! Today I recieved the replacement unit, DCMaster control module (which I paid $25 for), and found the prepaid return shipping label - and was not charged for shipping!!! What a great deal! this is about the best customer service I have ever found!

Same results I had with PCM service. You can't beat service like that and I love my E7's. Can't wait to hear PCM's PA's.
