Apologies to those who commented on my photos

Man, I am guilty of not looking at comments in my Railimages Gallery. I just noted all of the nice things that Darren, Ken, Hemi and others have said, and I am sorry I didn't find them in a more timely manner. I would like to thank all of you. :sad: Ken, the Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern 425--I should know her history. I want to say either Lake Superior and Ishpening or Buffalo Creek and Gauley, but I may be wrong on both counts. She's a strong little Pacific and is currently being overhauled at the RBM&N. A few of you asked for some info on the wreck at my home town of Little Falls, NY in 1940. As soon as I get organized I'll start something on the NY Central forum. :teeth:
Edit: Belay all of the above on the 425. She was built by Baldwin in 1928 for the Gulf, Mobile and Northern. Source: George Drury's Guide to North American Steam.

Wow! I have a bunch, too. I do have "Receive email updates" engaged, but I don't remember receiving an email when someone comments?! Maybe I don't have it set up correctly? Maybe "receive email updates" is not the same as "Receive email comments."

I on the other hand like to check back after uploading photos to see what comments I get. It tells me people are enjoying my photos with me.:shade:

I tend to comment :D on several images daily just to let people know that I enjoyed their image. Sometimes I drop a question but I know it might be awhile before I see a response. Most the time I'm asking something that might be useful to add to the description, etc. of the image so others might find it through the search engine of RailImages such as Where/When an image was taken or what is that railroad called.

I also tend to leave a comment if your image has been selected as the "Photo of the Week" so keep posting those photos and checking those comments as you might be surprised what comment has been left recently.

It works. Just click on "Receive email updates" to change it to "enabled" and you will get an email when someone comments. At least it did work for me. :teeth:

I'm glad you brought this subject up. I along with the others have experienced a little conviction. People have left some nice comments and a few questions in my Rail Images that I have never responded to. I started to chamge that last night. Thanks again for bringing this up.
