... is on this weekend, 17/18 March. Sorry for late heads-up.

I went this morning. I have about 70 photos to 'process' so nothing to show yet.

One thing I have noticed in the past few years is the gradual appearance of Kadee couplers on UK protoype layouts. It's now not that uncommon on 00 and N, and today I saw them used on an O gauge layout (a bastion of rivet counting in the UK :) ), even though they cannot by any stretch of the imagination be likened to the 3-link couplings that would have been appropriate. It seems reliability, ease of use and relative absence of the giant skyhand (that's a 'rivet' that never gets counted for some reason) are proving a winning combination.

We must have been there the same time Mike - sorry we did not meet up. :(

Thought it was a good show, as was last year. I picked up a few bits for the layouts and loco details. My wife came along this year and really enjoyed it. :)

Sorry Alan, I meant to post up about it during the week, but it slipped my mind (not hard these days). If you saw someone wandering around in a black and dark red motorbike jacket, it was probably me. (The bike was parked just outside the main entrance - one advantage to not coming by car :) )

Yes, it was another good one, though I didn't need anything from traders, so spent virtually all my time on the layouts. Oh, except for the one so-so bit, which was the length of the line for refreshments and the time taken to fulfill the food orders. I tried to take more detail pics this time too ... which is partly why I have so many :(
In fact I have now whittled them down to 58 to go on my website - I just need to do all the captions and descriptions now  .

Think I saw your motorbike! Yeah, the refreshment queue is always like that. We went in a little early for lunch to beat the rush, we thought - everybody else obviously thought the same! Still, it is fun to watch the chaos of sorting out which order belongs to which person. :D

Um! I was going to throw a few on here for you, but I can't get them to appear in the post - I just get the dreaded http://www.blurg.co.uk/blank.jpg .

I had a look in Help and see that there is now a 100k limit which I was exceeding, but the same thing happens using just a 13k thumbnail, so that isn't the only problem I have.

These are pictures on my own webspace BTW, not in Rail Images. I've checked the path carefully, even getting the image up in my browser and copying it from the address line, but still no joy.

Any ideas?

I still can't post pictures direct, but I've now loaded them all onto my website.

Mike,

Have you considered using our free rail images site to upload your images?

Mike,

Yes, but I have over 100MB of stuff on my site, not all rail related. I'm paying for the hosting anyway and I'd rather keep it all together. It also gives me control (muhahaha) :)

I used to just link specific pictures from my site into posts on TB without any problem. Has that changed with the new version of the board? (I can't remember when I last posted a pic).

Nottingham 2007 (http://www.sheridanonline.me.uk/shows/nottingham2007/index.html)I looked at all the train pictures. Some of those layouts are really excellent - I showed the best of them to my new wife and she was impressed with how much they resembled the views we had on our honeymoon in England last month.
