This weekend will be nuts with too much to do and too little time. We have basketball practice and games, baseball/softball try-outs, birthday parties, and who knows what else.

If I can get down to the basement I need to make trees. I also would like to finish weathering the four cars. I have been working on.

I've got some chores to take care of tomorrow, but Sunday (which is also my birthday) is the next regular SCWD meeting. I likely won't be building anything, but I've been hanging out lately at Train.SpottingWorld (http://train.spottingworld.com), so I'll probably do a bit more there too.

I don't know yet. I'm still working on the third deck, and then I have to photograph it with all the new stuff. I don't like the way the town up there, Westover, is shaping up, so I'll probably rethink it. Most of my towns grow haphazardly, like the real ones, but this one just looks haphazard.

Lots of work to do tomorrow. Then I am clearing the layout of rolling stock to get ready for the arrival of the challenger. Hopefully tomorrow or Monday at the latest.
I want the layout cleared of four trains so I can use all the trackage to test run the challenger.

Two bridges over a large lake on my N layout were weathered Thursday. I plan to place them Saturday. Some rock carving needed before that. Maybe the bridges will go in Sunday. A nice project for an ugly winter day.

This morning I picked up a Proto 2000 BL2 on eBay, a guy in my club HATES BL2's and thinks they are the ugliest locomotives thast ever rolled across this land.

Well When it arrives it will get uglier. I'm thinking about doing some wild stuff with it, like a SP light package, horst air filters, AAR type trucks,etc........it's really going to look freaky, and butt ugly....can't wait to see his face when he see's it!

Hoping to get some time on the layout, but it doesn't look good for it. Gotta get a load of corn for the stove and some other running this morning, the wife wants to go to a movie this evening and grandkids coming tomorrow, Maybe I'll get a few minutes here an here

I was so excited yesterday, as the temperatures got up into the low 50's, that I would be able to take my bridges out into the garage today and paint them. However I woke up this morning to a snow squall and it's COLD again. Come on spring.:sad:
