Having lived there for many years, I would not be surprised if local tv mentioned this event. There were some fairly good documentaries done about it.

I live in Tacoma, WA and just watched a segment on "Evening Magazine" about the GN Disaster in Wellington (Which is now Tye, WA) - they said that James Hill changed the name of the town after the disaster and then closed up the train shed.
I have been doing a lot of research on Great Northern Railway since my grandpa was an engineer for them. If anyone has any information about Great Northern and N-Scale, let me know...i'm new to model railroading.

Welcome to Trainboard. While I don't have much information on the Great Northern, I do know about N Scale. I did get to ride the Empire Builder once. :teeth:
