Hi all
With Nevada Northern's connection to the SP at Cobre, on the Overland Route, I was wondering if any NN cars would be seen on SP rails going east or west from Cobre?
Thanks for any info.

Yes. NN had a fleet of 50' gondolas that were yellow and roamed west to California any way. They used to come into Stockton CA on the WP so the SP was just as likely to haul the either direction. I have some pictures of them after they were sold CBRY after 1985 or so. Other than those cars, I don't think NN had interchange compliant cars.

I thought the NN had some boxcars in service in the 1970s and early 1980s.........

I have an MT NN boxcar. Thought it was prototypical...? I'll have to dig out it out and read the notes.

Thanks very much for the info guys. Is there a site about the interchange between the SP and NN? I have only found NN history sites, and about the museum.
