Officially speaking, what type of boxcars are these? I've never seen any models of these. Have there ever been any made in N scale or otherwise? Thanks in advance.

Bierbass - According to Kincaid's "Southern Railway Color Guide..." SOU 531751 is a Pullman PS-1 built in 1978 as part of a 500 car order. It is what is called a "waffle" side design.
I believe someone (Walthers??) had this car in HO, but I've never seen it offered in N scale.
SCL also had quite a number of this type car and I seem to remember several other roads also having some.

The photo shows what we would call a "Waffle Side" boxcar... MDC/Roundhouse offered the model in N scale years ago... If so, I probably one/ some if offered in Southern...
