Hi Folks,

I model mostly in Northeastern Z Scale (yes Z).

Micro-Trains (MTL) is about to release a SOO GP35 in Z.

I wonder if anyone could tell me if the SOO GP35 would ever head east towards Pennsylvania/NY area? I'm sure freight cars certainly would have but not so sure about a GeeP.

Thanks in advance!!

Michael

Probably not. I can't think of an example. In that time frame, units didn't roam as they do now. And these weren't the high horsepower road units. But, as they say, 'never say never'.... Also, it's your empire. So, if you want one, buy one!

I wouldn't expect to see SOO units in the Northeast before the 90s, when CP owned both SOO and D&H. I don't know about the run-through power arrangements railroads have had - there are too many.
