Anybody have information regarding train numbers for trains running from Willard to Chicago in the late 1970s? Also, which yards the Chicago bound trains went to?

Thanks in advance.

I can't help you with that one, but hopefully someone else can.

Late 70's B&O (Chessie) did not specifically use train numbers for thier freight movements. They used train names, some of which included numbers.

In addition to the ubiquitos Chicago94's and Chicago97's and a number of similar train ID's there were also the New Yorker, the Chicagoan, the New York Trailer Jet, the Chicago Trailer Jet and a number of other named trains.

Well, when I was growing up and hired on in 1979, we still had such trains as Dixie 94, TL94, TL92, 93, 2nd 93, 394, 392, 370, 371, ADIX. These were mostly Toledo sub trains. I am mainly looking for some Chicago Div. train #s and where they went in Chicago. I'm also looking for a couple C&O/PM Walbridge-north train IDs. My layout is northern/western Ohio, all around but no place in particular.
