WP 2001 returned home to Stockton CA for a brief time in 1999. It was on its way to the California Railfair in Sacramento and on to the Yolo Shortline for a while. Sure was nice to see the silver and orange in Stockton again.

great pic I am just waiting for Atlas to release a few of these. I may just buy one :D

Watash had posted a couple of pics of this engine for me on TB last year. They had just repainted it as the paint smell was sure strong.

The WP 2001 was painted in 1999. Last year the WP 707 was repainted. WP 2001 had I guess what you would call a fender bender last year on the Yolo Short line. It had the damage repaired and primed, but no orange repainted. I don't remember off hand which step had to be repaired. Yolo Short line did a good job repairing it, they just didn't have the right orange to repaint it. Also, as an aside, I understand the WP 921 at Portola is slated to get a correct paint job this year.
