The movie Duel

Saw the movie duel for the first time tomight and noticed some SP in action (best part of the film actually? Can anyone tell me where this movie was filmed? My guess is near Bakersfield but I'm probably wrong

I think it was filmed in Soledad Canyon, IIRC. It's a neat scene, with all the older SP units shown, although I think Dennis Weaver's character had other things on his mind. ;) Anybody know for sure where it was shot...Kevin?

According to the Internet Movie Database (http://us.imdb.com/Locations?0067023), Duel was filmed in Acton, California. Acton (http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?&csz=acton,+ca&country=us) is in Soledad Canyon, south-west of Palmdale.

Thanks guys for the information, it was the first time I had seen the movie. The best part had to be the multiple units leading an SP train although that truck sure had some grunt lol
