Can anyone yell me when these were used and what train(s) were normally pulled by them?

According to the book "Diesels of the Southern Railway", The Southern rostered 3 units. # 2904 was delivered to Southern in 1942 and # 6400 + 6401 to the CNO&TP in 1941. They were used in passenger service (although I din't look to see if the trains were named) and all 3 units were scrapped in Spencer in 1954 :(
