Welcome to the Frisco!

Believe me, I can sympathize with you! There are not that many who do it in HO, or any other scale. The FRISCO is so overlooked, its a shame.

I do not understand this, because no matter what road you travel, YOU MUST RUN THE FRISCO TO GET TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTRY IN EITHER DIRECTION. It is almost impossible not to!

I hope you find someone who does TT scale. You'll find all the FRISCO folk here good people. Especially WATASH!

For some reason the Frisco seemed to be an overlooked railroad, both in modeling and in publications. Not to long ago finding Frisco in HO Scale was like finding a diamond in the rought.

Welcome to the TrainBoard and FRISCO country Don! We have at least one known absolutely die hard bitten Frisco authority right here on the Board, just waiting to help you out. Slsffriscokid borrowed my microscope to find something, but wouldn't say what it was. You don't suppose he was looking for signs of your TT Train do you?

Gads man TT? I heard that "N" gauge was 1/160 scale, and "TT" is "Twice as Tiny"!!
How do you find it? What track does it run on, sewing thread? Does TT engines have real electric motors in them, or are they live steam? Tell us about them, I thought they were just a ferment of someone's remagination in Europe or somewhere. I'de really like to see one next to an HO size. Do you have any photos of one? Gee, a real live TT and Frisco to boot. Steam I hope, its going to rise again, you know!

Hi Don, I think your question would be better asked if there are any TT modellers, period! Great scale but never took off, unfortunately.

Watash, TT is 1:120, between N and HO. N scale track makes a good substitute for TTn3-1/2 and is used by some to model Queensland Railway's (QR) 3'6" lines here in Oz.

And whilst I have the Frisco modellers together, which paints do you use for the Mandarin Orange? Preferably Floquil/Polly S or Model/Accu-Flex brands as they are readily available Downunder. I have an SD45 in mind...

Yeah, it was that "Z" gauge I had thought of. But TT is still about as delicate as Graig and Alan's 1/160 N gauge. I have fingers bigger than that! I'de still like to see a photo of TT though. Are there any dealers who carry the line?

I've been painting my own Frisco diesels
for a long time, and I use Floquil Sp Daylight Red. It's a bit lighter than the
Mandarin Orange Frisco used, but red doesn't
stay too bright under the harsh Southwestern
sun.
And for white, I use Floquil Reefer White.
