Was wondering if anyone out there has roof shots of GP35s with roof mounted air tanks? I've scoured just about every resource I can find on the net for pics of these locos, found several angles from the side but I can't get enough detail out of them to figure out the plumbing on the top.
I'm modelling a couple of these in 1:160 and want to do 'em right! :D Assistance appreciated.
Cheers,
-Mike

When I was hostling in Tulsa for a year we had 3 or 4 of these old gp-35's stored at Tulsa on the fuel track next to the diesel shop early 80's. The units were very prone to electical problems and weren't to well liked. I always thought they looked funny with the air tanks on the roof and then there were the ones with the trade in alco trucks. I called them torpedo boats.
PS
Mike I love the 911 Frisco engine you have how and where did ya get it? Got to get me one like it, maybe a side shot of a gp-40-2. My favorite unit when I was there.
