Frisco Route In Alabama

I was reading an article published in the Atmore, Alabama newspaper dated July 8, 1928
about a special train that arrived in Atmore
at 3:30 PM and was transferred to the Frisco
tracks and proceeded over this line to "Local". How far was "Local" from Atmore and where was it located? I don't see it on
a map. Frisco had a depot in Huxford, AL
about 20 miles away. Could "Local" be the
former name of Huxford? Thanks

Quite confusing to say the least. You might do an Internet search for that county in Alabama and find a web site for a historical society and e-mail them to ask about "Local."
