My wife gave me gift certificates for the local hobby shop, and I was going in today to get some new buildings for my N scale layout. As I walked in, the owner went back to the bookcase and pulled out the book "Frisco In Color" by Marre & Sommers. Said he was thinking of me when he ordered it- what a guy!

Needless to say, I didn't get any buildings, but I AM the proud owner of an awesome collection of Frisco shots- steam, diesel, and rolling stock. If you can find it (or get it from Morning Sun Books, Inc., its printer) I recommend it.

One Frisco book and a couple of pieces of N scale Frisco rolling stock later, I was a happy guy! There's a reason Santa's dressed in red & white- he's a Frisco fan :D

Not only that, I've picked up a few ideas for kitbashing- the building of the 1700-series cabooses from 40' boxcars looks appealing to me. I've got a couple of spare Athearn 40-footers I could easily use, as well as a trashed-out Athearn caboose. Hmmmmmm..........

Howdy all,

As I understand it, another book is in the works that depicts Frisco rolling stock. I think it has been in the works for several years, but nearing completion. Does anyone know any more about any other books?
