The most recent issue of N Scale Railroading has a two-page article on the Kansas City-Florida
Special, featuring two of LifeLike's E8s in full-blown racehorse colors and a collection of express
boxcars and passenger cars, both in Pullman green and red & silver. I recommend this issue for
you N scalers, not just for the Frisco varnish (like there's no other reason at all ;) :D ), but for the
detail & work on the various cars. The workmanship is very apparent, and can be applied to the
passenger train of any railroad.

The only two piecec on this train that aren't custom-painted are the locomotives, and they both run
as good as they look.

I haven't seen that issue yet but it sounds like it is one that would be well worth looking at. I do know that Frisco has come up a little on the N-scale Varnish list but until now I haven't seen a mention of the article and I appreciate you posting about it. One of my main interests is well detailed passenger equipment (which is one of the reasons I founded the Varnish list) and it appears that this magazine is committed to sharing just that in their issues... and that is something I am glad of!!!
