How far east did the NP travel? I know they made it into Minnisota, did they ever cross the river into Wisconsin?

Actually, if you look at a map, it went farther north,and I think it did make it into Winsconsin though.

Well,
Back in the early days, the NP actually made it to Chicago, through a lease of the original Wisconsin Central. It was a huge money drain. When the NP went through a bankruptcy, somewhere in the 1890s, it lost the lease.
The NP did make it to the Superior, Wisconsin area.
The RS11s were bought for service in this area.

Yes. They made it as far east as Ashland. With a branch up through Washburn to Bayfield.
