A question about M497. When was it tested and what was the top speed that it reached?

Tyler, The M-497 was tested by the NYC in 1966. Top speed reported to be 183.85 MPH. Powered by two GE J-47 engines in what appears to be a nacelle from a B-47 bomber. Couple of photos and more facts at:Stan's Rail Pix (http://trainweb.com/railpix/acelatest1.html) :D
