I've seen ads and heard news about the upcoming Katy Days down in Parsons, Kansas.
I hate to sound naive, but what's the story on this? It sounds like it would be fun to attend.

(I'm a P.O.W. - Prisoner of Work- that weekend, so I'm unable to attend).

Its a celebration of the history of Parsons and the Katy and how they linked one another.
They have races, train rides, displays on railroad equipment, reunion dinner, food, all kinds of entertainment and a model railroad swap meet and this year 2 layouts the one from Parsons(ours) and the one from Katy, Texas Its pretty neat.

Got the info you sent to me at Yahoo- thanks!
I'm guessing that this has also been sent out on the MKT and Railspot lists as well.
Actually, that weekend our RR club is operating during the classic car show at Cross Orchards, but I hope y'all have great weather for the weekend! smile.gif

Glad to here you got it hope you could read it.I haven't learned to use scanner totally. I will be sure to run a train for you at the meet. :D
I am in the process of doing a FRISCO GP40-2 and a caboose. Even though my heart is Katy I still remember the Frisco in Parsons, and watching the GP35's running around in Dennison
