This weekend, sighted a BNSF train heading north out of Ft. Worth, Texas comprised mostly of Soo covered hoppers--noticed several subtle paint variations-green lettering, black lettering, "colormark" logos, wheat-stalk graphic. Mixed in for good measure were some old Rock Island and Milwaukee Road cars. Can only guess they were empties headed back to the Twin Cities area, or beyond. Don't see that much Soo very often in these parts!

No, I imagine you wouldn't! Not in TX at least. Shipping grain out of the Gulf, eh?
Did you manage to grab any photos per chance?? smile.gif
Gary.
Who saw a couple of ex-SOO 7-post b'cars with WC markings near downtown Orlando, FL in '97!

Yes--got out my camera that I keep in the glove compartment just for such occasions-got plenty of photos. It's not digital, though, so when 1)I get them developed 2)get some scanner technology going here, and 3) all the planets align correctly, I wouldn't mind posting them.

When you drop the film off for processing, ask them to burn them to CD - it shouldn't cost too much more and then you'll have digital photos to go along with the negatives.
I know I'd love to see how those hoppers are holding up after all these years...
