I really like this Trainboard forum, but have noticed, especially for some roads like the SOO, there's not too much action here. Is there another forum that SOO people use to a greater extent?

Yes there are, but activity levels vary by season etc. Maybe a good idea would be for you to begin a thread here, and see if the responses fulfill your needs. We'll try as hard as possible to make Trainboard.com a pleasent, enjoyable, informational experience for you.
Thanks again,
Bill

Welcome to the Board TexChris, from a fellow (Ft.Worth) Texan, and happy new year! We like SOO trains here in Texas & Pacific country, they all run on the same track! http://www.trainboard.com/biggrin.gif

Watash--I hope this message isn't a repeat, but I don't think my first try went through--anyway, what I said was that I was curious if, as a Texas resident, you had a SOO connection-lived up there, worked for them, etc. or if you are just a long-distance railfan. My other comment had to do with a possible ex-T&P water tank I saw just east of Colorado City on I-20 west of Ft. Worth. I could only view it from about 500 yards, but it looked like a classic black steel tank with the rounded bottom. Oddly, though, it is located a couple of miles from the town itself. Wondered if you or anyone else knows of it--I'll probably try the TP or MP page also.
