Great Northern used "Fleet Grey" on the majority of their covered hopper fleet. Does anyone know who makes a paint color that will either (1) exactly match or (2) come close, say about 90%?
I've located six Undec MT ACF 3 bay covered hoppers w/elongated covers that I would like to have painted in this color.
TIA,
Roger

'Great Northern Grain Loading' is what you're after?

I really don't know what commercially-available colors are closest--you could try a bottle of reefer white, and add drops of black to it until the color is correct, using proto photos. A hair dryer speeds the dry time.

If I can't find a grey that comes close, then I'm considering taking a grey and reefer white and mxing them. graemlins/222.gif
Even after all that I still have to find someone to paint the cars graemlins/headscratch.gif Much as I would like to do my own painting, I've learned I really don't have the patience for it. graemlins/226.gif
Since I'm still putting together my layout, this isn't the highest project on my LOTTD (list of things to do ;) )
Thanks for the hints. smile.gif

I paint...
But I have a backlog, and 4 F45s to do when they are released...
If you want to wait a while, I can do them for you, reasonably.
