Hi, I must be the only GN fan around here since no posts in awhile! :( Anyhow, does anyone want to post some pics of Skykomish if you have them, perticularly of around the depot and powerhouse area? I am building the town in Z-scale for my GN RR layout. Thanks alot. graemlins/wink.gif

I'd like to see this info as well. Just what did it look like back in the day?

I have a couple of views. But no scanner. Surely there's a GN fan web site somewhere? With photos?

I just need to Dig scan and post them. GN station from a few different angles.

I'd guess he means back pre-merger era days.

Well, he posted it in the GN forum... If he posted in BNSF, we'd think he wanted modern pics.:lightbulb: :lightbulb:

*shrugs*

I'd prolly post requests for, say, Wishram in the SP&S forum (if there is one) not a BNSF one, but then I always associate routes with who built them.

Anyway, here's the Sky HS' website. They've got a handful of nice old photos.

I know there's a website that belongs to either the state of Wa or maybe one of the universities that has a large collection of historical photos online. I don't recall anything from Sky in there, but I wasn't looking for that at the time so....

Taken in the last few years, but it doesn't look much different. The Mayor of Sky (might be former now) is a huge GN Fan If you go into town and go to the station, drive or walk two blocks east and his hous is facing the tracks. He has a GN Metal emblem above the garage door.
Sorry I don't have older pics.

I know the University of Washington has a large photo archive. A lot of railroad pictures. Perhaps in there? Caution- I have seen many Milwaukee Road photos in there which were mis-labelled. So likely errors for other companies as well.
