GN Empire Builder Coulee observations

Question for you GN experts: I intend to model a "Coulee" series Empire Builder observation. Strauss' vol. 3 indicates these were withdrawn 1960 when EB lost observations. Were these cars thereupon lettered Great Northern (not "Empire Builder"). or were they just set aside and later scrapped? I have Gn lettering for my car but no more EB for the center letterboard. Would it be correct to use it? If not, I'll have to spring for another decal set. Thanks for any help !

Believe they were lettered Great Northern as they were used on the Western Star later.
