Am posting this here, as the D&RGW did have direct involvement with ownership.
First up, is a Colorado Midland Railroad Company blank Form 31 train order. By the late 1890's, the CMRR was bankrupt. They were reorganized during the Spring of 1897, becoming The Colorado Midland Railway Company.

After the Colorado Midland RY ceased operations, in 1918, part of it's east end was sold to a company named The Midland Terminal Railway.

To wrap this up, here is the rarest of rare Colorado Midland/Midland Terminal RY paper:
First, an explanation=
Why is this Midland Terminal Railway train order copied on a Colorado Midland Railway Form 19?
On April 21, 1917, the Colorado Midland Railway entered bankruptcy. August 4, 1918, the CM RY ceased operations. Thereafter, the line from Divide to Colorado Springs was acquired by the Midland Terminal RY. Initially, MT RY used old extra CM RY forms. (Have seen many such from Colorado City.)
CM RY retained ownership of the remaining track and lands. For several years, CM officials attempted to sell those lines. Amongst those known to have shown interest, were the Santa Fe RY, and the Rock Island RR. These parties were shown the remaining lines, via running Special inspection trains.
On August 10, 1919, the CM officials were operating an inspection train west of Divide. "Special 49." It is unknown who the potential buyer was for this specific event. But they were looking over the property......
Here is a Midland Terminal RY train order. Copied on an old CM RY form at Manitou, Colorado.

Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad train order. From Chama, New Mexico. Copied on October 1, 1995. The initials "EGK" are those of Earl Knoob. Keeping memories of the Grande alive:

You know, there's a lot of cool stuff down in the Springs that I never would have guessed before I moved to the area. If you are into ghost railroad tracking, there's a neat little road called Gold Camp Road. The lower portion of the road climbing out of Colorado City between CS and Manitou is okay, but a series of unstable tunnels have closed the road and separated the lower part from the upper part. The upper portion is way more scenic and very interesting for the railfan.
If you want directions or details, I've written a bit about it on my blog, Colorado Railroads (http://coloradorailroads.blogspot.com/), under Gold Camp Road (http://coloradorailroads.blogspot.com/2006/07/gold-camp-road.html).
