DRGW GP60 around 1995 in Dolores Yard, Long Beach, CA. Nice paint job! Notice the scotch lite stripes.

Flash,
did you take this pic? I wonder how many modellors have ever thought of using scotch lite stripes on their models?

Colonel:
Yes, I took the pictures in Dolores Yard. As stated on another post (SP/SSW forum) there was no security at all. I would go to the engine house and the guys there would tell you which engines were due out next so you could photograph them first. There was always a lot of traffic there turning to go from the harbor back to West Colton yard. ATSF yard was not too far away, too.
I don't know if I have ever seen a model with the scotch lite stripes, but I think I have seen other pictures with it. I have another angle of this engine here somewhere.

Wow! Two GP60s in the same lashup! I think DRGW had three.
Adding the tape to a model would be a little different.

Hemi:
Looks like that second GP60 doesn't have the tape on the sides. maybe that was unique to DRGW3154?

That was the only one with the funny white stripes.

True, my oother shots of that consist, with 3156 (UP 1902 patched) is minus the scotchlite stripes.
Jim,
What was the striping for? Grade crossing visibility experiment, much like the BN Tigerstripes experiment?

I don't know why they put the stripes on. Was probably an SP thing.
