Some disgruntled D&RGW employee tore the UP shield sticker off the nose, but the painted on number would be tough to remove on the lead and trailing GP60's..

Patched, yes. All D&RGW Geps have UP numbers now. Only 5371, a tunnel motor remains in pure Grande paint. As for yellow or not:

No, the GP40-2 class was started with engine #3094. In most cases, an even number like this would denote the "class engine" but not in this case.
