The NJ&NYRR was an Erie RR subsidiary. I am wondering what happened to it? Was it absorbed into the Erie? Or did it disappear when the Erie-Lackawanna merger took place?

Hey,
I just saw this post,so............
Yes,it became part of EL. It's now part of NJT. I actually lived 1 block south of this line growing up. I use to watch the trains all the time. From my bedroom window I had a clear view of the tracks.
Its now known(as it was when EL had it ) as the Pascack Valley Line.
Ironic, 40 years later & I'm quilified to run this line.:shade:
