While on my holiday in 1999 I stayed in Lebanon Pennslvania and saw some Conrail action and heard a great deal as the hotel we were sleeping in almost backed onto the line. i also visited a hobby shop that fronted the mainline through Lebanon. can anyone tell me where the line connects to and what it is used for?

I am sure (hope?) someone has a better answer than me http://www.trainboard.com/rolleyes.gif
I am familiar with Lebanon only through personal travel and family history: my Grandmother lived outside of Pottsville, Pa. so as a kid, we'd journey up there every summer to see her and stay about a week. I know Lebanon was fairly close to our destination. My Grandmother had a track that literally ran through her back yard... supposedly a spur to a coal mine or breaker. I remember seeing an occasional engine, and think they were Reading (Warning: 30 years ago http://www.trainboard.com/eek.gif ) I have seen pictures in books to support that theory as well.... again, I am counting on our resident experts to step forth and verify or dispel this notion.
As a sidebar, the N Scale Collector convention is being held in Lancaster, Pa this summer... not to far from this area. As a side trip, they will be having a trip to Pottsville, Pa to tour the Yuengling Brewery. I would really like to go, since I have not been to that area in over 20 years since my Grandmother's death.

Im heading to Lebanon this weekend for the Greenberg trainshow (provided the weather dosen't turn to nasty)
Chessie: can ya send me some info on the meet in Lancaster? I take the kids there 2-3 times a year to Strasburg RR while the wife hits the outlets http://www.trainboard.com/rolleyes.gif
