Just recently in Morrisvile, Pa, a loaded hopper got free & went on a 2 (?) mile ride before running into a parked engine. The drawbar & knuckle of the hopper was detroyed- the eng TOTALED !! You guessed it - the eng WAS the CR 2943 "Spirit of Conrail" the loco will be pieced out to a local scrap yard.

Never mind. she was spoted earlyer today bay a friend with a bent frame. BUT she might not be scraped. She is currently heading to altonna.

According to the Sup't Detroit Division, the eng will be scrapped.
