While re-watching my pentrex Milwaukee Rd video, the narrator mentions Geep 20's. Any pics, and roster info on them?

The Milwaukee Road did have GP20's, but if I'm not mistaken, the MILW GP20's were actually rebuilt from GP9's.

They were renumbered from 200 series, into the mid-upper 900's. Some folks also refer to these as GP20m. Most of these units saw all their service on Lines East. A stray or two did make a very transient visit west of the Missouri River.
After this project was done, then they started the "SD10" rebuilds. (1974-1976.)
I can get more specific if you have further questions.

It was a rebuild program, like the Illinois Central GP10's. I assume they were upgraded to 2000 hp, which is why they were called GP20's.

They upgraded the old 567's to 645 specs, and rated them at 2000hp. Non-turbocharged. Then bought GP20 plates from EMD to attach. Essentially, after the rebuild, they had an almost new loco.

The City of Prineville Ry. in Central Oregon still has a couple they purchased from the MILW in the 1980s. I don't think they're being used very often right now, since all the mills have shut down.
