Did you get the copy at a hobby shop? Or in the mail? My shop may not have it in yet. :(

I've been waiting for this article. Early last Fall, Doug told me it was coming.

It's well thought out. He worked on the design quite a while before starting to build. I helped with a little construction in the early stages. Was later able to operate on a it a few times. We had a lot of fun. The hours flew past!

His layout will be open for the 2004 (Seattle) NMRA tours. So, if in the area,........ :D

That would be nice Boxcab except Seattle is just a little far away for me! I subscribe so it came in the mail, I believe hobby shops don't get them till it's closer to the date. It's a great artical and nice layout design. But like I said they could of had a few more pictures. (like the whole magazine)!!!!!!! I didn't know you new Doug personaly. It would be great to know someone else modeling the Milwaukee, everyone around here has Soo, Burlington or Santa Fe. I always feel like the odd man out.

Andy-

I used to live in that area, so got to know Doug.

Am surprised that there is no Milw fan/modeler in your vicinity. Very surprised. I can understand that there would be those from other companies as well. No Milw? Just seems very odd. Is there a hobby shop nearby? Where you could inquire of clubs or other modelers? Post a note or something?

:D

Boxcab, I never thought of putting up a note to see other Milw. modelers in the area. The shop owner is a big CN&W fan so me and him always have some friendly arguements, never tought of asking him either. There is never to much Milw. stuff on his shelves so I have to get him to order most of it special. I might run up there Sat. I'll have to inquire!!
