Just out of curiousity, for those who do some Milw model railroading, what time frame is the one you've chosen?

For me it's the mid-late 1960's. When the orange/maroon/black scheme was still around, but steadily giving way to the orange & black. It's the time frame I guess I recall the most. Electrics still roamed. Depots still stood everywhere. First generation diesels were abundant. But those early second generation units were making large inroads.

Early 1990's - really - the CP/SOO Tomah sub is the old MILW La Crosse Division. MP15s in MILW paint can still be seen every once in a while - but repainted GP40s are more common.

10 years ago those GP40s still wore MILW - but with the black patches.

Still lots of MILW stations, roundhouses etc survived until CP started raising everything in the mid 90s.

I'm modeling a Midwest shortline fictionally controlled by the MILW. Time frame 1950-70; this covers a wide span but there are locos and rolling stock I must have.
