I was just wondering if anyone would have any info or pics about the highline to deadwood. Thinking about a layout. Thanks!

Rick Mills has done a couple of books on South Dakota railroads. I wonder if there'd be any views in one of those?

The old C&S? Or is this a CB&Q branch from the Sandhills of Nebraska?

Rick Mills' book "Making the Grade-A Century of Black Hills Railroading" about the Deadwood Branch is an excellent source of information!
However, if one were adventurous, a walk or bike ride a along the right-of-way can be made all the way from Edgemont to Deadwood! It has been converted to a trail.

The 1976-77 BN Annual has a real nice piece on this line.

Another one by Rick Mills: "Railroading in The Land Of Infinite Variety- A History Of South Dakota's Railroads." Had forgotten I even owned a copy of book! redface.gif

I too, am starting to accumulate books, and not know what all I have, because so much of it is in boxes!
I don't think I have doubles, though.
One I do want; Colorful Colorado RR's of the 1960's (http://www.nscalesupply.com/CRM/CRM-45-9.html)..
Can't argue with the cover photo!

Can't argue with the cover photo! Pre-mega-merger. Back when railroads had carefully designed, beautifully colored paint schemes. Looks like a nice book for fans of that area!
