Sure does!
I couldn't legally get close enough to the car to see the reporting marks, but I think it was C&S....

Both cars plus the GP30 are property of the Colorado Railroad Museum.See the CRRM website:

http://www.crrm.org

IF you can find a previous issue of the Iron Horse News, they had additional information on the 3011 and cars.
From what I recall, they'll be part of a standard gauge display that paralells the parking lot. Don't recall where though.
Contact the Museum, they might be able to provide more info as well.

It's nice that the Coors people have allowed them storage. Maybe there is a railfan in management?

Before the DRGW 5771/5762? were delivered to the Museum, Coors stored them on their property for over 18 months!!
Definately is nice of Coors to provide temporary storage, for as long as necessary.
Personally, I'd like to see Coors donate one of their SW's to the Museum, someday.

It's amazing to me how 'up to date' the CB&Q's color scheme looks even tho the Q has been gone for (OMG) 34 years.

I finally accepted the BN after I realized that after looking at negatives that the Q's color scheme survived and was on the latest equipment.

It sort of tells you how really good the Q was in that Burlington survived two mergers after it's identy ended.

Amazing, isn't it?
I just about wet myself when I saw that car in Minot, ND.... A true foamer, eh?
This one rolled into Cheyenne last year:
No doubt as to its heritage!!!

This one probably does not really count. Brand new paint job on a retired BN Metra engine.

Proto or not, who cares? It's a classy CB&Q E unit! Even though bought from BN to serve on Metra, it was likely a former Q unit in the first place!

I just found out that this engine and the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) E-8A #1594 right behind it now reside in Florida at the http://www.goldcoast-railroad.org/index.php

There is some discrepancy of the CN 102 and 103 heritages. Either 9916 is 103 or 9903 is…same goes for the 102 same two units are in question. The way it’s listed here is from Burlington Northern Railroad Locomotives 1970-1996 by Robert Del Grosso

This list was lost in the TB Upgrade I think.

Here is a link to this same list but with links to pictures

Sounds like it's down to checking builders plate numbers?

BNSF7173, The info there is at least 9 years old. I don't know if any BN Es are still there, how ever, my friend caught 4 METRA (ex CNW Es there) a while back.

Builder plates, now to find that info??

At lot worse for wear, than the GN and NP you've posted. It's been ages since I last saw a BREX.

Black Eagle, MT, just a mile or 2 north of Great Falls.
Just shot these earlier this month.

OK, just what does 'Havelock' 40-foot mean?

BNSF7173

Havelock was the Burlington facility that built and rebuilt many of the cars the Q used, the 40 foot rebuilts lasted well into the BN era complete with Cascade green paint. They also built gondolas both open and covered.

Just one of many fine facilities, which have been flushed down the drain of history.

I'm guessing this is the Q equivalent of the GN's Jackson Street and St Cloud shops...
