Hi all,

I was wondering if there is a website or if anyone knows what various types of steam the CB&Q ran. I am collecting some N Scale engines in BUrlington and am trying to collect some steam as well as diesel.

So far I have a 4-4-0, 4-6-2, 4-6-4, 4-8-4, but I am wondering all of what they ran. ALso, did Bulington ever run any articulated locos? I know they did not have any Big Boy's (4-8-8-4), but I was wondering if they might have run some smaller versions such as 2-8-8-2 Challengers.

Thanx for any and all assistance.

Bob in RSM, CA

Hello Bob, I don't know much about the CBQ, but have a look at these sites

CBQ steam (http://members.aol.com/rlsteam/cbq.htm)

George Elwood's CBQ photos (http://www.dnaco.net/~gelwood/other/cbq.html)

(Didn't see any articulateds) smile.gif

Alan,

Thanks much for the pics. I "inherited" an N Scale CB&Q 2-8-8-2 Challenger, but it is in a C&NW box, so I think the former owner just re-decal'd it for his own liking. I can findo no record of CB&Q running CHallengers.

Bob-The CBQ indeed did have articulated engines. They ran in the blackhills of South Dakota. They never did have Challengers. You could try the BRHS website. Also I have a few sites that might help you, I will try to remember to post them later on.
