This was a great topic in the B&O forum,,, so what about you C&O fans?????

I'll start..... I have a lot of favorite C&O (diesel) locos,,,,, my favorite is probably the BL2!!

Diesel: The BL2, too!(Does the E-7 in Pere Marquette count???) Steam: ex-Pere Marquette 2-8-4 Berkshire.

I'ma C&O fan (Go Figure) I LOVE the B&O so, an then the C&O being a sister railroad you all know where this is going so,.... I have to say for a diesel, the BL-2 as well, or the GP-7/9's, (Love that high nose, an then the GP-30 (My all time favorite iesel body style, an in steam just give me an H-8..... HUGE beast from the east, like a sister to my beloved B&O EM-1! :D

Too funny Harold! tongue.gif An I thought you were a strict diesel weasel! graemlins/wink.gif But, I have to say, the Berks in C&O were nice to even the ones in PM! :D

I have an appreciation for those things other than diesel as well.... The Berks are a classic C&O item tongue.gif

The post WWII L-2A Hudsons with the Franklin Type B rotary cam poppet valves. Theoretically, they should've been superb locomotives. Does anyone know about any articles or studies of their performance compared to the pre-war L-2 Hudsons such as the photographed one posted above by "Fitz"?
