Yep, though it's an SD40. There were at least a dozen SD40/40-2's sitting around.
I think it was CSX's Chattanooga Yard diesel facility.

Behind the photographer, there was a small hillside. From which I have a view taken about two years later, of this same spot. It shows either the 4010 0r 4011, and a C425(?) Where do I have that stashed? Sure wish i had that darned scanner!

Brake wheel nose, wrong rad. grilles, needs anticlimber(as does many in my fleet), 'Q' fans, etc.
A chopped snoot would be righteously close, however.
An interesting patch job:

If it wasn't the tiger striped one, then a renumber would cure it, they had an early batch with pretty much the same details as the shell.
Been working on a batch of these in HO scale, a mix of Athearn and Kato based units. I have a spare (L&N) Athearn that might end up as the bicentennial one as well... smile.gif

Yeah, on older threads, many of the images vanished when we closed down the old Railimage site. I try to go back and edit any posts I made with new links to the same photo stored on the new site. It takes a lot of time and sometimes I have to guess at what image it was. I am still finding broken links of mine all the time that I need to update.

great new pics guys. Maybe we are getting the red x's due to railimages being switched over. I will see what i can find out there in the world of un patched BN units. I do know that the Lindenwood yard in St. Louis has 2 SD7 or 9's in BN but patched. Still neat to see those old timers out and about.
