Just how prototypical are my two Atlas BN Wide Vision Cabeese? One is a regular BN and the other is a D&FW Pool Service.

CURRENT....I just need to know if they are accurate or good fakes. Let's put it this way, 1970 to 1995 is the era they would of been painted in BN Colors.

<font color="336633">FW&D and C&S lettered cabooses lasted at least until 1992, although i doubt that they are still running as BN shoped a load of cabosses in 1990 and started to scrap the unrebuilt ones, all but 6 cabosses that was rebuilt are wide vision ones
the others are 2 bay window
#12506 (former frisco 1727)
#12601 (former frisco 1731)
and 4 steel cupler ones
#12512 (NP 10124)
#12537 (NP10113)
#12591(GN X-73)
#12592(NP 10128)</font>

<font color="336633">Oh I also forgot, you should plate over all the side windows, and when looking at the end plate over the left hand window on both ends, this was done mid to late 80's as sheet metal is cheaper than bullet proof glass.
Whats the number of the FW&D caboose you have I can see if it was still in service in 92.</font>

<font color="336633">the BN one was still listed as running in 92 and was built for the BN in 1979 so it might still be about.
the FW&D was scrapped sometime before 92, and was not included in the rebuilding project.</font>

Brent, check out - http://archive.trainpix.com/BN/CABOOSE/INDEX.HTM - for all Charles Biel has, and specifically http://archive.trainpix.com/BN/CABOOSE/EXVISION/12324.HTM for the BN cab. FWD 177 may have been one of the 1978-built cabs (assuming a 20 cab order FWD179-198 in 1980)
