Well not the flashy Bluebird, but I model what I remember. As a kid I saw many of these GP-9's pulling the coal train to Bow NH for the powerplant. We had a park in Penacook NH, The Hannah Dustin Memorial, right next to it was the B&M line. My dad would take me down there to see these.

Good memories smile.gif After 1987, these rails turned to rust :( This is what I remember of Penacook in 1978. Model is an Atlas GP-9 with many details added, Polly Scale paint and Micro Scale decals. Enjoy,

Jim

Dang!! I thought that was the real deal for a second there! Awesome job! You know you've done a good job when people have to do a double take! graemlins/wow.gif

Great job. Like Kurt, I also thought it was photo of the real loco. Your backdrop is perfect, just like the view from the old homestead!

Kurt and Hytec, thanks for the kind words, yeah the picture kind of makes me home sick  I hope to do more as I have been working on a 6x3 N scale layout for it. The easy part is done as far as planning, NH, branchline of the main, circa 1978 so I can use my new GP40-2's. I just need to find the right track plan.
