I did a quick Mapquest search today to confirm directions to a MR swap/show and found something interesting. Mapquest shows railroad lines in fairly good detail, including sidings and such with one qwirk. The naming on the roads seems to be from at least the 80's if not older. I sat down tonight and traced the B&O from Loveland, OH, through Blanchester, Wilmington, Washington Court House, Chilicothe etc....... You have to be at one of the 3 highest zoom levels to see the rail lines.

This is a link to a map of downtown Chillicothe where B&O and N&W intersect. Also found DT&I going through Washington Court House, Penn Central around Wilmington and C&O east of Chilicothe.

Mapquest Chillicothe, OH (http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?mapdata=OehTi%2bkPVgSVoEjt7Ah1TCEYWq3C3jzy KttGPXraPA6y8tZkMI1w%2frVnBzqER51g3zuwOJlgU2t4JVwh wUsGX6SMss%2fpguPUz%2bfwq1g5mrxK25NcbEAd60cCUmAzGh 2%2fpdFqebO%2fWyECrj8vQLtAv%2bXmYymWDUScCQCSWctuOZ Rj4W2pr6tIX6o4bfAINz3oSVKL1cBA7n1gt%2fKw6mTJb5SNd7 o2%2fGbeyN235EhERumAuyuUwj3CRR9C7ZHwHMNnAZPsXRLlDm oRg4PpJdxBtzs61SVJJPYSOlyze6EGw%2fosC9kT9Y2%2bZ1TG u2LPPxmwci1h0RwVtDcVYR%2bYmheYiT6wK0KY3%2fmTd2kOx1 AdRWxADvEWa5PhRFH5DzSeHg0KJwXFme0ZaSH4UDk9PvwHnxIL uf4mTUsL1B%2fykzN99y1i1tmHYuWCrqo7uB2uC76Xs1cV%2fz 1myh%2bs93jhDrBCqpleqpj2GSorRq3c5xxc0CaSnr8fO7XIoH tWH4WvFTWVO5GMk88DFv%2bx8k0jO2TUsTq5xlW7RFzYNjrsKv %2b67xg0o%2bvyOGOYAzAeUx9PO6gUaCLWZ1ypt3v%2fKcxb5% 2ffcgNvu5wEuUkhaH8Hcyh5CtUPIrRchtU7hKh5ULcDb0svXI2 mRDxCHtUpKPq08m0qKQoQC0lh9g1vNth03RkhIkkCeudsdVvga afx1nInvNnnQ4SABOCL44idPU0JLYHs7tnotW6MxjRcHgV0fLN ftjM6DAZFzNVQ9OcfDWclpq5bAk%2fLWggZSRUrHO6ihy%2bP7 nVgjR7UMyvgq1xhqboqUMtRSiSKeqCaUnjptDFqMOkWO)

This may or may not be news but I thought I would share. I spent a good part of the evening cruising rail lines to see where they went. I have not found a good source of maps on line yet. This is the closest I have come.

I have found railines that have been removed 20 years ago...don't know why MapQuest keeps them on the maps.

I've found many old RR lines. Still shown that were long gone. Or mis-labelled. But won't complain that these are still shown. Wish there was a source of archived on-line older stuff. Where you could pick a year. Such as 1960. And see it exactly as it was then.

I do know that some map printers deliberately put in, or leave in errant information. Apparently there are those who reprint other folks maps, and sell them......
