B&O Bridge info? Loveland OH

I'm trying to find some specs and or info about a bridge.

The truss bridge in use by CSX (Actually leased to IORR now). I would like to find the span of the bridge and any other relevant information.
The bridge was a double track bridge with one line using a truss and the other a plate girder bridge in the 50's I believe. The truss span was taken down sometime in the late 80's if I remember correctly. The bridge is in the heart of Loveland, OH where the line crosses the Little Miami river. Shortly after crossing the river, the line also crossed a PRR double track line, at least in the time I am modeling. There was a point in time earlier where the bridge consisted of 2 truss bridges side by side also. I'm not really sure of the time frame when it was in each form though.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am modeling in N scale and have a set of 3 Kato truss bridges as my starting point for the truss spans. I am going to have to scratch build the plate bridges. If I am going that far, I would like to try and build everything to the correct length.

Tony, you might be able to work out the span from what you have now - It looks like you can reach part of the bridge there, so why not measure a section of the girder you have over land and times it by the number of panels in that girder, looks to me like all the girders are similar, but you could check by counting the panels.

If the truss bridge used the same support piers (looks that way from your photo's) then you have the same length of span for that as well.

Other than that, do any local libraries or historical societies have pictures of the old bridge that could help?

I have checked the local historical society, plenty of pictures, not much for text about the bridge. Most of the pictures don't have dates associated with them so time frames are a guess.

I thought about measuring, and I still might. I just wasn't big on climbing up on the bridge to do it. There are a few sections at the beginning that are slightly shorter. The main repeating span is about 10-15' onto the bridge.

I was hoping that there might be a link to a CSX right of way listing or something similar that may have structures listed along the route. I have seen similar indexes for other roads but I can't find anything about this sub. For that matter, I really don't know what the name of this line is to research it.

I don't have any info to add, however, I think I just saw an article in a modeling magazine about the same thing: Used to be double track bridges, now single...
