Although SAL did not own any traditional "domes", they did operate leased NP domes in the seasonal "Southwind". Additionally, they owned the unique "sun lounges" (honorary "domes").

The closest the SAL came to domes were 3 Sunlounge cars built by Pullman in 1956. These cars featured large picture windows in the side, lounge end, and windows in the roof. Only 3 cars were built and 2 of them survive today. The cars were named Hollywood Beach, Miami Beach and Palm Beach.
